no blood on my hands

Birds are running around

Changed by water, wind, and time

Pebbles and mountains

creeps up the side of the rock

green against grey

the small rocks feel hot and sharp

pointing towards the sun

fighting against gravity,

leaning on a hill

The stone in my hand

Glides softly along my skin

As it calms my soul

far too small to stand alone

chilling in the night

Kelly Miller

searched the beach for rocks,

finding the right one.

old glacial rocks protruding

the animals graze

roly-pollies and fat worms

crawling in the soil

Ourselves from vast eco-defectiveness
